The 2024-25 Topps Finest UEFA soccer card set returns with notable changes compared to last season. Unlike last year, when it debuted as the first premium release, this edition arrives after Topps Chrome and Sapphire, slightly dampening the early excitement due to those products’ higher desirability.
This year’s Finest release features a print run of around 9,500 cases—a 20% increase—yet includes fewer numbered base parallels, dropping from 1,850 to 1,722. As a result, collectors will find approximately one fewer numbered card per hobby box. Each box contains 10 packs with 6 cards per pack and includes two autographs.
While Lamine Yamal doesn’t have rookie cards this time, his second-year cards are surprisingly valuable and still carry the RC logo. Many rookies also overlap with those in Topps Chrome, though a new Base Extended Rookie Variations checklist introduces some fresh names. The autograph checklist is strong, featuring legends, rookies, and stars like Messi and Yamal. Dual autos return—though the “Rivals” theme remains debatable—alongside new “Bound by Origin” quad autos with a national focus.
Fan-favourite inserts return, including Finest Idols, Prized Footballers, and Marks of Excellence, with exciting names like Kaka, Gavi, and Desailly making debuts. The design, however, is more cluttered this year, and parallels may lack the visual pop of previous editions.
