2016–17 Panini Select Soccer continues the brand’s signature chromium design and Prizm finish, delivering a premium look and feel with a strong global player checklist. Each Hobby box includes one autograph and one memorabilia card, alongside a generous supply of Prizm parallels — averaging one per pack.

The base set introduces a three-tiered structure inspired by the Flair Showcase brand of the late 1990s. Each tier has 100 cards with unique designs and varying levels of rarity. Terrace cards form the common base tier, Mezzanine cards are mid-tier (around ten per 12-pack box), and Field Level cards are the rarest, appearing roughly twice per box. Each tier also features its own selection of colourful Prizm parallels, allowing collectors to build tier-specific rainbows or chase the entire master set.

Autographs span a wide range of eras and playing styles, from current global stars in Signatures and rising prospects in Emerging Star Signatures to retired legends in Historic Signatures. Memorabilia content includes various relic themes, with each box delivering one piece of match-worn or player-worn material. Both autographs and relics feature multiple Prizm colour parallels to enhance rarity and visual appeal.

Insert cards are included sparingly — about one per box — ensuring the focus remains on the premium base tiers, parallels, and hits. Sets like Sky’s the Limit add an extra layer of collectability with sleek, modern designs.
