2023-24 Panini Obsidian Basketball continues the brand’s signature take on chromium, pairing a darker, black-centered aesthetic with etched metallic detailing for a distinct look within the hobby landscape alongside lines such as Prizm, Select and Spectra. The base set uses strong, glossy card stock with impressionist-style backgrounds that push the color into the Electric Etch treatment, highlighted by hobby-exclusive Flood and Mojo parallels including Neon Flood, Orange Flood, Purple Flood, Gold Flood, Deep Sea Mojo and Vibrant Mojo. Hobby boxes follow a high-end, single-pack configuration built around three hits and a mix of parallels and inserts.

Autograph content is a central chase, with cards generally numbered to 149 or less across themes such as Rookie Jersey Autographs, Rookie Jersey Ink, Matrix Material Autos, Galaxy Ink, Magmatic Signatures, Rookie Eruption Signatures, Volcanic Signatures and the debut of Twilight Signatures, all supported by Electric Etch Flood and Mojo parallels. Memorabilia cards emphasize sizable swatches in Eclipse Materials and Unbreakable Memorabilia, with additional multi-piece content in Cutting Edge Memorabilia and Equinox Gear.
